Bernd Fesel has more than 30 years of experience with CCSIs. He is an entrepreneur known for founding start-ups, supporting public organisations and shaping policy for CCSIs. He is currently CEO of EIT Culture & Creativity. Previously, Fesel was Director of the European Creative Business Network (ECBN) - now CreativeFED - and held positions such as Deputy Director of the Ruhr European Capital of Culture and Senior Advisor to the RUHR.2010 Heritage Institute. He has also been involved in major EU initiatives including the JRC Creative City Monitor, Voices for Culture, ENCATC and the establishment of a European Research Alliance on Culture and Creativity Spillovers.
