#ECEC24 - the European Creative Economy Conference 2024:
Local Ecosystem Partnerships for Creative Placemaking:

Background and Context: The challenges within the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) spotlight significant gaps in entrepreneurship, transversal skills, and collaboration between research entities and businesses.

To address these issues, Helsingborg municipality, Region Skåne, and ECBN/Creative FED are proud to invite civil servants, researchers, politicians, entrepreneurs, and practitioners in the cultural and creative sectors to the Dunkers Cultural Center in Helsingborg for a full day of dialogue, keynote speakers, and opportunities for future collaborations on June 13th, 2024.
The conference, produced in collaboration with Lund University, will focus on the theme of "Local Ecosystem Partnerships for Creative Placemaking."
Objectives: The European Creative Economy Conference 2024 aims to showcase successful models of collaboration between different sectors, examine the impact of creative placemaking on cultural and creative ecosystems, demonstrate the significance of Regional and Local Ecosystem Partnerships (LEPs) in supporting creative placemaking efforts, and strategise for enhanced collaboration among stakeholders in the cultural, creative, and community sectors.
Approach and Scope: The conference will explore these objectives through a triple lens, incorporating research, business, and policy perspectives. Participants will engage in discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to foster innovative solutions and partnerships.
Program: The conference program will commence with a reception on the evening of June 12th, followed by a full-day program starting at 8:30 am on June 13th. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive sessions led by esteemed speakers and experts in the field.
